The York County Sports Hall of Fame began it's life in 1998, but it's genesis began years before. The neighborhood sandlots, church gyms, community center pools, youth sports leagues, and high school playing fields all cultivated the long and rich history of sports in York County. The individuals we honor are reflections of the dedication and devotion of many people who loved sports. For that, we will always be grateful, and through those efforts, we see lives that have been made better and lives that have added to our community.

Founded by Bill Neely and Ed Thompson in May of 1998, in the 18 years since it's founding, the Hall of Fame has inducted 73 people. Nominations are currently open for the 2017 induction class. For more information please see our Nominate page.
